Cyber experts have identified Android apps capable of stealing user passwords. Many applications require Google, Facebook or other user account information to activate their services. Sometimes providing this information is necessary to use the app, but often it’s a scam designed to trap the user.
A recent report revealed that many downloaded apps steal not only users’ private data but also their Facebook passwords and cryptocurrency information. Cyber security company Trend Micro published a list of more than 200 apps in the Play Store that contain “Facestealer”. Facestealer is a type of spyware on Android.
Here are seven applications identified by Trend Micro. If you are using any of these apps, delete them immediately:
1. Daily fitness OL
2. Panoramic camera
3. Business Meta Manager
4. Swan Photo
5. Enjoy Photo Editor
6. Crypto Mining Farm Your Own Coin
7. Photo game puzzle
