Indian superstar Salman Khan has foiled another assassination plot after police arrested four suspects from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Indian media, the police revealed that the suspect had planned to attack Salman Khan’s car.
The arrested suspects searched Salman Khan’s farmhouse also located in Bandra area of Mumbai. Indian police said the suspect had planned the shooting outside Salman Khan’s home a month before the two shooters were arrested on April 16.
Police officials said investigations into the attack plan against Salman Khan are underway. It may be noted that two men opened fire outside Salman Khan’s residence in April and were arrested two days later. The suspects were arrested in Bhuj, Gujarat and both hailed from Bihar.
In a police statement, the suspects said they shot the money at the behest of Lawrence Bishnoi, the robber who was arrested at Salman Khan’s house. Salman Khan’s security has been beefed up since 2022 due to threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and he has also been granted a license to carry personal weapons.
Lawrence Bishnoi, who was arrested for plotting the murder of Indian singer Sidhu Mooz Wala, said last year that his life’s goal was to kill Salman Khan. According to Indian media, Lawrence Bishnoi invited Salman to visit the shrine of religious guru Jambheshwar (Jamba Ji) and apologize. Bishnoi says he won’t do it if his community forgives him or he will kill Salman Khan after the security is withdrawn.
What is the problem between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi?
On July 10, 2022, a report said that Lawrence Bishnoi or his community threatened not to forgive Salman Khan for hunting the rare black snow. He said that the only way to forgive Salman Khan is if Salman publicly apologizes for his behavior. According to Lawrence Bishnoi, people consider the crow as an incarnation of Lord Jambheshwar (Jamba Ji), a religious sacrifice. So, the verdict in this case is not final for Salman Khan. Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan may change their minds if they visit the Jamba Ji temple and publicly apologize; Otherwise the Bishnoi community will kill him.
