Odisha: In India, rescuers saved a local cobra snake from breathing problems caused by an attempt to swallow a medicine bottle.
In the Odisha city of Bhubaneswar, Indian Forest Service official Sushanta Nanda shared a video on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) showing a cobra with a bottle of cough syrup stuck in its mouth. Despite repeated attempts, the snake was unable to remove the bottle and became distressed.
When locals saw the snake in this condition, they called volunteers through the “snake helpline”.
Volunteers arrived immediately and safely removed the bottle from the snake’s mouth before releasing the snake back into its natural habitat.
