Karachi: Veteran Pakistani actress and anchor Mehwish Khan has criticized artists who are campaigning for huge compensation for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Mehwish Khan released a video message on her official Instagram app and expressed her deep sorrow over the dire situation in our country where power outages are severely affecting the poor.
The actress said that people sell small and valuable things to pay for electricity. Not only that, this government is forcing people to sell their organs to pay the bills. In such cases, our famous artists and social media influencers run ad campaigns for Maryam Nawaz and the Government of Pakistan to provide huge compensation.
He criticized Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz and said that instead of promotional campaigns for Karachi-based artists, Punjab should collect this money and pay the country’s debt.
Mehwish Khan said that our artists are money hungry, they accept any job without thinking twice. Our artists have a lot of money, but they are still hungry. His conscience is dead; they forgot the Palestinian situation for a few pennies. As the world boycotts Israel’s supporters, our artists go abroad to attend award shows.
He asked Pakistani artists if they knew how to say no. Do not understand the current state of the country? Does he not see the plight of the poor in the life of the poor?
It may be noted that for the past few days, there has been an advertisement campaign on social media for Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to appreciate her achievements so far. The campaign includes the participation of social media influencers and famous Pakistani actors like Armeena Khan, Sanam Saeed and Sumbul Ali.
