The hotel for the Pakistan cricket team in New York has been changed following strict action by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to play two matches in New York on June 9 and 11. The hotel that was given was 90 minutes from the stadium.
Sources revealed that chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken this matter seriously and has brought about changes in the team’s hotel in New York. The new hotel is now only 5 minutes from the stadium.
The Indian cricket team is just 10 minutes from the ground in New York, while the hotels for the other teams are more than an hour away. Both the South African and Sri Lankan teams expressed concern about the facilities provided during their stay in New York.
Sources revealed that Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi contacted ICC officials to express his displeasure over the situation, prompting the organizers of the event to change the hotel for the Pakistan team.
According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear to the ICC that he will not allow his team to travel long distances for T20 World Cup matches, including the June 9 and 11 matches in New York. He warned that if the team’s hotel does not change, he will move his team to a better and more comfortable place at PCB’s expense.
Sources also told the ICC that PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is responsible for the national cricket team and will ensure the comfort of the players in all aspects. The Pakistan cricket team will fly to New York immediately after the match against USA on Thursday.
