Mumbai: Bahubali superstar Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s science fiction film ‘Kalki 2898AD’ has become the most expensive film in Indian cinema.
Indian media, through their sources, said that the film’s budget reached INR 600 million, which is a new record for a Hindi film.
In a recent interview, Prabhas said that the film has been made to keep the global audience in mind and has the best artists in the industry, which has led to an increased budget.
Based on a story set a thousand years after the destruction of the world, the first reviews of the film were revealed at the Cannes Film Festival.
The mega movie was originally titled ‘Project K’ and starred famous actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan.
‘Kalki 2898AD’ will be released in Telugu and Hindi and will also be dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and English.
