Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, known for producing hit films, has revealed that his earnings from films have dried up and he is now working on alternative jobs to support his household.
Recently in an interview, Vivek Oberoi expressed his grievances about being sidelined and ignored in Bollywood. He revealed, “My earnings from films are now exhausted, so I have made alternative arrangements to run my household.”
In an interview with Indian media, the actor shared that before entering the showbiz industry, he started a small business when he was 15 years old. He came back from boarding school and his father gave him 500 rupees as pocket money which he spent in a single day.
Vivek explained that coming from a boarding school, he had big dreams. When he asked his father for more pocket money, his father refused, which hurt his pride. This motivated him to start working, and since then he has never asked his father for money.
He further shared that when he started earning more, he thought of investing in the stock market. He received proper training and entered the field of stock trading at the age of 17. His income increased and he bought a house. At 21, he quit his business in Bangalore and went to New York for further education.
According to the actor, when he returned from the US, he started his acting career. However, during this time he continued to work on his company. Although the company is not on a large scale now, it makes a living by trading shares on the stock exchange and providing services.
