An Islamabad court has informed both parties of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for a preliminary ruling on the appeal against the sentence in the marriage scandal.
Justice Afzal Majoka also ordered the application to be sworn in and said the ruling was only on Ms. Bushra Bibi’s request.
On Friday, Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majo Ka heard the pre-trial hearing against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and Ms. Bushra Bibi. The petition for preliminary hearing and suspension of fine was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Do you want the judge to hear an early appeal or do you want Ms. Bushra Bibi’s sentence to be suspended? I will give my opinion only if I decide on Mrs. Bushra Bibi’s request.
Advocate Niazullah Niazi said the court could decide the plea of both parties jointly at the court’s discretion, but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf appealed the petition.
The judge noted that a request for a preliminary hearing had been received from one defendant, that the court should maintain balance, that a simple plea had been filed, and that an oath should be administered.
The court adjourned the hearing until June 11 and reminded both parties.
It should be noted that the main appeal in the matrimonial case will be heard on June 25.
