Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Kazi Faez Isa said that PTI is trying to disrupt the elections and influence the Election Commission of Imran Khan.
A full hearing was held on the issue of separate seats in the Sunni Ittehad Council led by the Supreme Court.
The Chief Justice said that PTI comes to them whenever needed and recalled the time when the court had given the election date. He said it was PTI that tried to obstruct the election. Arif Alvi became the president then. The court asked the PTI whether it had asked the party not to conduct internal elections. The Election Commission has asked the PTI to hold elections within the party.
He said that Chief Justice Imran Khan was the Prime Minister at that time and as Prime Minister he also influenced the Election Commission. A year ago it was given to conduct elections. He asked if the law should be thrown out. While discussing the voters, he asked what happened to PTI members’ rights and advised them not to give only half of the facts.
