Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received the news of a child dying of measles in Pattoki.
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz demanded an urgent report from the Health Secretary and ordered the ministers and officials of the health department to visit Pattok immediately.
Taking this opportunity, Punjab Chief Minister said that innocent people are dying due to negligence and incompetence of health department. He said those responsible for the failure should be identified and punished accordingly. Measles and other epidemic diseases should be monitored daily and no negligence should be tolerated in the treatment of affected children.
The Prime Minister also ordered vaccination against measles and other diseases in hospitals.
