Police must be equipped with modern skills to tackle emerging challenges: RPO Malakand

Swat: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand Region Syed Fida Hussain Shah on January 29 said that equipping the police force with modern training and skills is essential to effectively address evolving security and law enforcement challenges.

The RPO made these remarks during his visit to the Police Training School Swat, where he was received by Director Police Training School Swat Habibullah, DSP Administration Umar Rahim, and other senior officers. Upon arrival, the RPO was presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of police personnel.

During the visit, the RPO laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and offered prayers for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. He also planted a sapling and prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the country.

The RPO later inspected classrooms where police personnel from various districts of the Malakand region were undergoing a 14-day computer training course. He expressed satisfaction with the training standards and distributed certificates among participants upon completion of the course.

On the occasion, Director Police Training School Swat presented a commemorative shield to the RPO in recognition of his visit.

Addressing the gathering, RPO Syed Fida Hussain Shah appreciated the ongoing training activities, discipline and professional conduct at the training school. He said such initiatives, aligned with modern requirements, play a vital role in strengthening the operational capacity of the police force. He expressed satisfaction over the overall performance of the Police Training School Swat.
