UPPER DIR: A special programme to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day was organised at the Modern English & Vocational Institute in Upper Dir, in collaboration with the District Youth Office and the district administration.
The event aimed to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, highlight their ongoing struggle for freedom and human rights, and reaffirm Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri cause.
Students actively participated in the programme by presenting Naat, Qiraat, national songs, speeches, sketches, and artwork reflecting solidarity with the Kashmiri people. More than 20 students took part in various activities.
The programme was attended by Salman Hustom, Additional Assistant Commissioner Upper Dir, who was the chief guest. He appreciated the students’ performances and praised their efforts to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue.
Addressing the gathering, Shahzad Tariq, District Youth Officer Upper Dir, encouraged students to highlight the Kashmir issue through education, responsible use of social media, and peaceful dialogue.
Other officials and guests present on the occasion included Additional Assistant Commissioner Ilyas, Lukman Adil, Abrar Wardaq, Mubarak Zeb, Arshad Khan, and Zoheb Jan.
At the end of the programme, certificates and gifts were distributed among participating students, while shields were presented to the guests in recognition of their support.
