Serving humanity is true worship, says ADC Iqbal Hussain Khattak at Ramadan Iftar drive

Mardan: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief and Human Rights) Iqbal Hussain Khattak said serving people in need is a noble act of worship while attending a large-scale Ramadan Iftar initiative organized by Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan on Charsadda Road in Mardan.

The free Iftar dastarkhwan, launched on the first day of Ramadan, will continue until Eid-ul-Fitr, providing daily meals to travelers, laborers, daily wage workers and other deserving individuals observing the fast.

According to organizers, hundreds of people gather at the dastarkhwan every evening to break their fast. The meals include dates, fruits, beverages and freshly prepared dishes served as a complete Iftar package.

Welfare initiative for the community

The program is organized by Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan with the support of volunteers and donors who help manage and distribute meals in an orderly manner.

Young volunteers actively participate in serving the food and assisting participants, ensuring that the arrangements remain organized and hygienic.

Iqbal Hussain Khattak attended the event on the invitation of the organization’s chairman, Dr. Abuzar Shah, and vice chairman Salman Shah Bukhari. During the visit, he sat among the participants and shared the Iftar meal with them.

Call for greater community participation

Speaking at the gathering, Khattak appreciated the welfare efforts of the organization and said such initiatives promote compassion, equality and social harmony.

He encouraged philanthropists and welfare organizations to support similar programs so that greater assistance can reach underprivileged segments of society.

Organizers said the purpose of the Iftar dastarkhwan is not only to provide meals but also to promote brotherhood and strengthen the spirit of humanitarian service during Ramadan.

They thanked donors and volunteers for their support, adding that the initiative will continue until Eid-ul-Fitr to serve as many deserving people as possible.
