ISLAMABAD: The under-construction Danish School on Kuri Road in the federal capital has entered its final phase, with work progressing ahead of schedule, officials said on Wednesday.

Sources familiar with the project said there is a strong possibility that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the Islamabad Danish School later this month, marking another milestone in the government’s education initiatives.

Project linked to broader education vision

According to officials, the project reflects the government’s policy of expanding access to uniform and quality education, particularly for children from low-income and underserved communities. Danish Schools are being developed in multiple regions to help bridge educational gaps and provide modern learning environments.

The Kuri Road campus is considered a key addition to this initiative and is being completed at an accelerated pace, even before the stipulated timeline. Once operational, it is expected to serve students from surrounding areas and contribute to educational development in the capital.

Focus on access and quality education

Education sector observers say Danish Schools combine modern curricula with improved facilities, while prioritizing equal access for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. They believe such institutions can play a meaningful role in improving learning outcomes and strengthening the country’s education system.

Public and academic circles have welcomed the progress of the Islamabad project, expressing hope that similar initiatives will continue to expand educational opportunities nationwide.
