MS inspects Timergara hospital departments to review healthcare services

Timergara: The Medical Superintendent of the District Headquarters Teaching Hospital Timergara, Dr. Bakht Zada Akhunzada, conducted a detailed inspection of various departments of the hospital to review medical services, staff attendance and patient care facilities.

The visit was carried out in line with directives issued by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other provincial health authorities, including Provincial Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman and Health Secretary Shahidullah Khan, as well as Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Khan of Lower Dir District.

During the visit, Dr. Akhunzada inspected several key departments including the emergency department, emergency pharmacy, emergency laboratory, medical wards and the reception area.

Focus on service quality

The inspection aimed to review the availability of medicines and medical equipment, ensure proper staff attendance and assess the cleanliness and sanitation system at the hospital.

Hospital facilities provided to patients, availability of essential medicines and the performance of medical staff were also evaluated during the inspection.

Dr. Akhunzada checked the attendance of doctors, nurses and other employees according to the official duty roster and warned that negligence in patient care would not be tolerated.

Emphasis on patient care

The medical superintendent also directed hospital staff to treat patients with kindness, professionalism and compassion to ensure that everyone visiting the hospital receives timely and quality healthcare services.

Officials said the inspection was part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery and maintain a patient-friendly environment at the hospital.
