Young Journalists Association plans a new office and digital platform to expand professional opportunities for young journalists.

The Young Journalists Association (YJA) has announced plans to open a new office, launch a dedicated digital platform and work with relevant government institutions to create employment and skills-development opportunities for young journalists.

The initiatives were discussed during a general meeting of the YJA held at its central office in Islamabad on August 8, 2026, under the chairmanship of President Muhammad Yousaf Khan. The meeting focused on strengthening the association’s organisational structure, expanding its digital presence and creating practical opportunities for young journalists.

New Digital Platform and Office

Participants welcomed the planned launch of the YJA’s new website, saying it would improve digital communication, provide information about the association’s activities and help connect young journalists with professional and learning opportunities.

The association also discussed the formal opening of its new office, which is expected to provide a space for professional interaction, training programmes and coordination among young journalists.

Training Centres Under Consideration

The meeting also discussed establishing training centres where seminars, workshops and practical sessions could be organised to equip young journalists with modern digital and professional skills.

Participants expressed their commitment to strengthening organisational activities, improving coordination among members and developing initiatives aimed at creating sustainable professional and economic opportunities for young journalists.
