The Islamabad Jeep Club (IJC) has successfully concluded its annual Summer Camp, held this year in the breathtaking mountainous region of Nadi Bangla in District Mansehra. Located approximately 20 kilometers off-road from Balakot, Nadi Bangla is accessible only through a challenging and rugged mountain track.
A convoy of around 15 4×4 vehicles from Islamabad Jeep Club successfully traversed the difficult terrain to reach Nadi Bangla. The participants established a two-day campsite at Kachal Katha, where members enjoyed outdoor living, self-cooking, and various adventure activities while experiencing the area’s natural beauty.
On the second day, the participants undertook an expedition to Jabri Top, one of the most challenging routes in the region. Due to recent rainfall, the track had become extremely slippery and demanding. However, the experienced drivers of Islamabad Jeep Club successfully reached Jabri Top. The return journey also presented significant challenges, but by the grace of Almighty Allah, all vehicles and participants safely returned to Kachal Katha without incident.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ehsan M. Kiyani, President of Islamabad Jeep Club, expressed his satisfaction over the successful completion of the expedition. He praised the extraordinary natural beauty of Nadi Bangla, Kachal Katha, and Jabri Top, highlighting their dense cedar and pine forests, pristine streams, waterfalls, and unspoiled environment.
Dr. Kiyani emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and urged visitors to play their role in preserving the region’s natural beauty by avoiding littering and practicing responsible tourism.
He further stated that all waste generated during the two-day camp was collected in garbage bags and transported back for proper disposal. Club members also collected litter left behind by others in the area and brought it back, demonstrating Islamabad Jeep Club’s commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible adventure tourism.
The expedition was headed by Dr. Ehsan M. Kiyani (President), Asadullah Marwat (Vice President), Imran Ahmed (Secretary General), and Syed Imran Hyder (Secretary Media), along with senior members Ali Zafar, Mazhar Zaidi, Juma Khan, Bakhtmir Jan, Zahid Bukhari, Nauman Ahmed, Ehtesham Abbasi, Brig. Umar Ghani, Nasir Saeed, Talha Malik, Muhammad Marwat, Sanaullah Marwat, Burhan Kundi, and Kashif Khan.
Friends and guests participating in the event included Akhtar Niazi, Salman A. Khan, Nisar Ahmed, Brigadier Mannan, Abid Mughal, Tahseen Razi, Zeeshan Tahir, Arsalan Ahmed, and several other distinguished participants. In total, approximately 35 individuals took part in the Summer Camp.
Islamabad Jeep Club organizes an annual summer expedition each year, selecting destinations that have not previously been explored by the club. These expeditions aim to promote responsible tourism, highlight Pakistan’s hidden natural treasures, engage with local communities, understand their challenges, and contribute towards the promotion of tourism and local economic development.
