SWAT: A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Swat Saleem Jan Marwat was held in Kalam to review challenges related to the installation of transmission lines under a project of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO).
Officials said the meeting focused on resolving technical and administrative hurdles to ensure timely completion of the project. The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen energy infrastructure in the region.
The session was attended by the PEDO Project Director, Project Manager and other relevant officials. The Assistant Commissioner Bahrain, Deputy Director of Agriculture, representatives from the Forest Department and other institutional officials participated via video link.
During the briefing, the PEDO Project Director outlined the current progress of the transmission line work and highlighted areas where interdepartmental coordination and administrative support were required.
Deputy Commissioner Marwat directed that installation of the transmission lines in Kalam be treated as a priority. He instructed departments to remove obstacles without delay and ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He emphasized that delays in projects serving public interest would not be acceptable and called for improved coordination among all concerned departments to meet project goals.
