Rawalpindi, March 25: A Chinese naval ship, PLA Navy Ship DAQING, has arrived in Pakistan to take part in the Sea Guardian exercise, a bilateral naval drill focused on enhancing operational coordination and maritime security.
ISPR said the vessel was welcomed with a ceremonial reception and escorted to port by Pakistan Navy ships.
Exercise schedule and scope
The Sea Guardian exercise will continue until April 2 and will include a range of harbour and sea-based activities. These include expert-level interactions, training sessions for young officers and joint operational drills.
The participating navies will also conduct coordinated patrols and live gunnery exercises as part of the programme.
Focus on maritime security
The exercise aims to strengthen professional ties and improve coordination between Pakistan and China in addressing maritime challenges.
Officials say the initiative reflects continued defence cooperation and contributes to efforts aimed at ensuring a stable maritime environment in the region.
