Air Chief Sidhu Applauds Cadets at PAF Academy Graduation for Exceptional Achievements

RISALPUR – The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Academy Asghar Khan hosted the graduation ceremony of multiple courses on December 2, attended by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, as the chief guest.

Courses and Cadets Graduating

The ceremony marked the completion of the 151st GD(P), 97th Engineering, 108th Air Defence, 10th Navigation (Alpha), 28th Admin & Special Duties, 11th Logistics, 134th Combat Support, and 98th EC (RSAF) courses. A total of 136 aviation cadets, 10 gentleman cadets, and 20 Royal Saudi Air Force cadets graduated.

Address by Chief of the Air Staff

In his address, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu congratulated the graduating cadets and acknowledged the participation of Saudi cadets as part of defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted changes in PAF training, including integration of advanced technologies, leadership development, and resilience-building to prepare officers for modern warfare.

The Air Chief also referred to recent regional developments, noting attempts to challenge Pakistan’s sovereignty earlier in the year. He emphasized the role of the armed forces in responding to those challenges and mentioned the operational use of space, cyber, electronic warfare, UAVs, and long-range vectors.

Awards and Distinctions

Several cadets received awards for outstanding performance across different disciplines during PAF academy ceremony:

  • Muhammad Ali Arif – Sword of Honour for overall best performance in the College of Aeronautical Engineering, and trophy for overall best performance in General Service Training.
  • Muhammad Saad Shahzad – Sword of Honour for overall best performance in the College of Flying Training.
  • Muhammad Arhamullah – Chief of the Air Staff Best Pilot Trophy for flying training.
  • Ali Ahmad Mustafa – Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for engineering discipline.
  • Murtaza Ali – Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for air defence course.
  • Yahya Nayyar – Trophy for overall best performance in Admin & Special Duties course.
  • Hunain Sarwar – Trophy for overall best performance in logistics course.
  • Talha Ishaque – Trophy for overall best performance in combat support course.
  • Muhammad Khalid Jalfan (RSAF) – Trophy for overall best performance in allied course.

Aerial Display and Attendance

The PAF graduation ceremony concluded with a flypast featuring F-16, JF-17, and J-10C aircraft. Senior military and civil dignitaries, along with families of the graduating cadets, attended the event.
