Islamabad, 8 January 2026 — Defence cooperation and regional security were the focus of talks between Chief of Air Staff Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf during a meeting at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral defence ties, highlighting the importance of joint training exercises and high-level exchanges. Admiral Ashraf underscored Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime peace and stability, while Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan praised the professional standards of the Pakistan Navy and expressed interest in expanding collaboration.
The meeting follows Admiral Ashraf’s visit to Dhaka in late 2025, reflecting the growing defence relationship between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
