Rawalpindi, January 13, 2026 — Pakistan’s security forces have killed four militants during a precision intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out in Kalat District, Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted on January 12, 2026, after confirmed intelligence indicated the presence of militants associated with an Indian-sponsored proxy group, Fitna al Hindustan, in the area. Troops moved swiftly to the identified location and engaged the militants’ hideout, leading to a heavy exchange of fire that resulted in the elimination of four militants.
ISPR stated that arms and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who were actively involved in a series of terrorist activities aimed at destabilising the region and threatening local security.
The statement added that area clearance and sanitisation operations are underway to track down and neutralise any remaining militants in the vicinity, ensuring lasting peace and stability.
Reaffirming its commitment, ISPR said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies continue to pursue a robust counterterrorism strategy under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee as part of the National Action Plan, to completely eradicate foreign-backed terrorism from the country.
