ABBOTTABAD: The Abbottabad District Table Tennis Association has launched its Table Tennis League, bringing together leading players from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Haripur, and Abbottabad. The event, hosted at Modern Age School and College, has drawn strong participation in both men’s and women’s competitions.
In the women’s category, Laiba from Peshawar and Mahnoor from Abbottabad advanced to the finals after defeating their rivals. In the men’s competition, Shayan Farooq from Peshawar overcame Muhammad Umar, while Zahid Khan Tanoli from Abbottabad secured his place in the finals by defeating his opponents.
At the inauguration ceremony, General Secretary of the Abbottabad Table Tennis Association, Majid Rafique Mughal, thanked the guests and expressed special gratitude to Abdul Wahid Siraj, Managing Director of Modern Age School and College, for providing the venue. He praised Siraj’s support for sports and his role in ensuring the successful organization of the league.
The finals of the Table Tennis League are scheduled to be played today.
