Timergara — Local police officials held a meeting with community elders to discuss crime prevention, law and order, and transparency in policing under directives from District Police Officer Lower Dir. The session took place at Police Station Timergara and was chaired by DSP Circle Timergara Amjad Khan.
The meeting was attended by SHO Inspector Muhammad Ikramullah, Investigation Officer Bakhtiyar Khan, and respected elders of the area. Police officials emphasized that safeguarding the lives and property of citizens is their foremost responsibility and warned that negligence would not be tolerated. DSP Amjad Khan said strict action would be taken against drug dealers and those involved in other unlawful activities, adding that public cooperation is essential to eliminate crime and ensure lasting peace.
He further stated that corruption would not be tolerated and pledged to make the police system fully transparent, assuring equal justice for all citizens. Community elders present at the meeting expressed full support for the police and agreed to work jointly to maintain peace and order in Timergara.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to strengthen ties with the community and reinforce accountability in policing.
