MARDAN: Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health at Wuhan University of Technology to strengthen academic and research cooperation.
The agreement was formalized during a ceremony attended by AWKU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed and Director AURIK Dr. Tariq Mahmood. The MoU was signed by Sher Bahadur Khan, Principal of the College of Veterinary Sciences, and Wajid Hussain, representative of the Wuhan institute.
Officials said the partnership aims to promote joint research in biomedical engineering, animal health, and the “one health” approach. It also includes faculty and student exchange programs and collaborative research projects.
Prof. Zhaowei Zhang, Dean of the institute, and Director Ji Chen of International Affairs welcomed the cooperation and expressed commitment to strengthening ties between the two institutions. University representatives described the initiative as a significant step toward expanding international academic collaboration.
