ISLAMABAD: A fire broke out in Beverly Center, Sector F-6, Islamabad, destroying Dr Salman Aesthetic Clinic and causing heavy financial losses. One staff member sustained serious burn injuries and was shifted to hospital for treatment.
According to initial reports, the blaze originated from an adjacent restaurant before spreading rapidly to the clinic. Firefighters managed to control the flames after prolonged effort, but the premises were reduced to ashes.
This was the second fire incident reported in the same Beverly Center plaza of F-6/1 within a week, raising concerns about fire safety standards and regulatory oversight in commercial centers of the capital.
Business owners and residents expressed frustration over what they described as negligence by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), pointing to repeated fire incidents and inadequate enforcement of safety regulations.
Local traders and citizens have demanded an immediate investigation, strict accountability, and stronger fire safety measures to prevent future incidents, warning that continued lapses could endanger lives.
