NOWSHERA: Work on a new gas pipeline project in Nowshera is set to begin after financial hurdles were resolved with the railway authorities. Sahibzada Hamza Khan, President of PML-N Nowshera District, handed over a payment cheque of PKR 9,086,600 to the Divisional Superintendent of Railways on behalf of the Sui Gas Department, completing all required formalities.

The project will cover the villages of Amankot, Khadrizi, Dheri Ishaq, Mian Ishaq, and Mohib Banda. With the payment made, the railway-related obstacle along the pipeline route has been formally cleared, paving the way for immediate commencement of work.

Once completed, the new pipeline is expected to benefit domestic consumers in the villages and adjoining areas, while also supporting local industries and commercial activities. Officials say the connection to the main Sui Gas pipeline will enhance gas pressure and improve energy distribution across the region.

Residents have expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister Amir Muqam, and Sahibzada Hamza Khan for their efforts in addressing longstanding energy concerns. They noted that the initiative will not only resolve fundamental supply issues but also contribute to the overall development of the area.

The next phases of the project are expected to begin soon, aiming to provide a lasting solution to energy challenges faced by the local community.
