LOWER DIR: Shayan College Maidan organized a grand welcome and farewell ceremony at a local private hall, bringing together teachers, students, education officials and community dignitaries to pay tribute to the institution’s educational services.
The event was attended by a large number of participants, including officials from the education department. Ayub Bacha, Superintendent Jail Swat, was the chief guest, while Principal Malik Shahid delivered the keynote address.
In his speech, Malik Shahid highlighted the college’s academic achievements and its role in producing professionals and officers serving in various fields across Dir district. He reviewed the institution’s academic, training and co-curricular performance, emphasizing its commitment to quality education.
Addressing the gathering, Ayub Bacha said educational institutions play a vital role in the development and progress of society. He appreciated the efforts of the college administration and encouraged students to pursue their goals with dedication.
During the ceremony, newly admitted students were formally welcomed, while graduating students were given a farewell. Students presented national songs, speeches and cultural performances, adding to the festive atmosphere.
At the conclusion of the event, the college administration presented commemorative shields to distinguished guests. The ceremony ended on a celebratory note.
