University of Swat holds 15th Academic Council meeting

SWAT: The University of Swat convened its 15th Academic Council meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher, to review key academic and administrative matters. The session underscored the institution’s focus on academic excellence, transparent governance, and inclusive development.

The meeting brought together all Deans and Heads of teaching and administrative units. Discussions centered on the reconstitution of statutory bodies in line with the University of Swat Statutes 2025, the establishment of an independent Faculty of Management Sciences, and the implementation of Senate resolutions promoting interfaith harmony and minority rights in education.

Council members also approved the draft Annual Report 2024–25, reviewed minutes from Boards of Faculty and Studies, and endorsed policies for developing question banks for external examinations. Additional agenda items included restructuring and renaming academic departments, aligning departments within relevant faculties, and addressing student-related academic requests.

The proceedings reflected the Vice Chancellor’s vision to strengthen academic standards, ensure inclusive education, and align university governance with the updated statutory framework.
