Abbottabad (Asif Mehmood Awan) — A carry-on passenger bus travelling from Abbottabad Union Council Baran Gali to Abbottabad city fell into a gorge thousands of feet deep, killing six people on the spot, including a father, his son, and two women.
Rescue Teams Retrieve Bodies After Fatal Crash
The accident occurred within the limits of Bagnotar Police Station. After receiving information, local residents, police, and Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and launched rescue operations. The bodies were recovered from the ravine and handed over to the families after necessary medico-legal procedures.
Victims Identified After Tragic Abbottabad Accident
According to reports, the passenger vehicle was carrying six people — including two women — from Baran Gali to Abbottabad city when it skidded off the road and plunged into the deep gorge.
The deceased were identified as:
- Zulfiqar alias Pappu (driver)
- Zubair son of Zulfiqar
- Yasir son of Khalil
- Akhtar son of unknown
- Maria daughter of Shabbir
- Fatima daughter of Sarwar
Locals Assist in Recovery Efforts
Following the tragic incident, a large number of local residents gathered at the site, helped retrieve the bodies, and assisted rescue teams in shifting them.
The vehicle involved in the accident was a carry-on bus bearing registration number LEE-7130. The crash has cast a pall of grief over the entire area.

Various political and social figures expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and extended condolences to the bereaved families. Those who offered sympathies included MPA Amna Sardar, former District Nazim Sardar Sher Bahadur, City Mayor Sardar Shuja Nabi, Pakistan Peace Council District Abbottabad Chairman Sardar Abdul Rashid, Chief Organizer Anwar Dadsati, and others.
