MARDAN :A 400 KW solar power system has been officially added to the electricity system in the academic block of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. This was stated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed while presiding over a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by heads of all departments of the university.
The Vice Chancellor said that the inclusion of the 400 KW solar energy system will reduce the energy burden on the university, while the scope of this project will be extended to more academic blocks. He said that another comprehensive plan has been submitted to the government in this regard, under which centralized air conditioning systems will be installed in all departments of the university, especially research laboratories and classrooms.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed congratulated all the employees of the university and said that the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the university statutes on the long-standing demand of the university employees.
Finally, the Vice Chancellor directed the heads of all departments to ensure the provision of educational and teaching facilities to students from the beginning of the spring semester 2026.
