Atta-ur-Rehman Welfare Foundation launched in Lower Dir to support vulnerable communities

LOWER DIR: The Atta-ur-Rehman Welfare Foundation International was formally inaugurated in Lower Dir to provide assistance to orphans, widows, disabled persons, and other vulnerable groups in the district. The launch ceremony, held at a private hotel, was attended by social, political, and religious figures, along with scholars, doctors, and community elders.

Major Salman and Major Intisam of Dir Scouts joined the event, with Major Salman cutting the ribbon to officially inaugurate the foundation.

Founder Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman outlined the objectives of the organization, noting that thousands of families in Dir are in need of permanent economic and social support. He said the foundation was established to provide sustained assistance to those facing hardship.

Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that Islam teaches compassion and service to humanity, describing the initiative as a noble responsibility. They said the foundation would serve as a beacon of hope in the area, promoting welfare and social well-being.

Participants appealed to philanthropists to contribute actively to the foundation’s mission, stressing that collective efforts could strengthen compassion, equality, and solidarity in society.
