BISE Mardan chairman highlights education reforms, vows to eliminate paper leakage

Mardan — Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan, Professor Jehanzeb Khan, has said that journalists carry a major responsibility in positively guiding society, while the board is taking concrete and transparent steps to reform the education system and eradicate the issue of paper leakage.

He was speaking to journalists during a visit to the Mardan Press Club, where he was received by newly elected President Lutfullah Lutf and General Secretary Hidayat ur Rahman Hoti.

Addressing the media, Professor Jehanzeb Khan said that since assuming charge as chairman, he has faced multiple challenges but has taken strict and practical measures to address them. He said decisive action had been taken against cheating networks and mafia elements, adding that examinations are now being conducted in government institutions, which has already produced positive results.

The BISE Mardan chairman said the board’s objective is to prepare students for the demands of the 21st century. He noted that a modern digital system has been introduced to enhance efficiency and transparency in board operations. He also said that the board has been fully solarised, which has helped eliminate electricity costs.

Professor Jehanzeb Khan further stated that the marking system has been made transparent and that examinations will now be conducted under a cluster system. He added that efforts are underway to move students away from rote learning and encourage the development of creative, analytical, and intellectual skills.

Concluding his remarks, the chairman reaffirmed that BISE Mardan would continue to take all possible steps to raise educational standards and establish a fully transparent examination system, assuring that the board would not rest until paper leakage is completely eliminated.
