Hangu contractors form new association, elect leadership

Hangu: Government contractors in Hangu district have established a new body, the Hangu Insaf Contractors Association, following a representative meeting held Tuesday at Spinghar Restaurant.

Senior contractor Haji Gul Sahib Shah was elected president, while Noor Karim Orakzai was chosen as general secretary through mutual consultation. The meeting was attended by a large number of contractors from across the district, including Haji Khan Tareen, Haji Musal Khan, Haji Qasim Gul, Abdullah Shah, Rafiullah, Shah Nawaz Khan, Liaquat Ali, Khawaja Muhammad Khan, Nooristan, Saeed Shah, Samiul Haque, Fahad Khan, Salam Khan, Aftab Khan, Akhtar Munir, Sahibzada Imtiaz, and others.

Participants unanimously empowered the newly elected leadership to complete the organizational structure and appoint additional officials. Addressing the gathering, President Gul Sahib Shah thanked members for their trust and said the association’s primary objective is to protect the rights of local contractors, resolve their problems, and raise a strong voice against injustice. He pledged that no exploitation of contractors would be tolerated and that efforts would remain within the legal and constitutional framework.
