SHANGLA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) has issued fresh directives for private schools across the province, strictly prohibiting the conduct of examinations during the winter vacation period. The authority has ordered all private educational institutions to immediately withdraw any announced or ongoing examination schedules, warning that strict action will be taken against violators.

According to an official notification issued by the PSRA, private schools have been clearly instructed that no examinations are allowed during winter holidays. The authority stated that conducting exams during vacations constitutes a violation of the prescribed rules and regulations governing private educational institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PSRA Bars Exams During Winter Vacations

The notification emphasized that keeping students and teachers under academic and examination pressure during winter vacations is illegal and unacceptable. The PSRA maintained that winter holidays are meant to provide students and teaching staff with adequate rest and relief, particularly in view of the harsh weather conditions in upper districts such as Shangla.

Private Schools Directed to Withdraw Exam Schedules

The authority further clarified that all private schools must immediately cancel and withdraw any examination schedules planned for the winter break. Failure to comply with these instructions, the notification warned, will result in strict disciplinary action against the concerned institutions under relevant laws.

PSRA Urges Parents to Report Violations

In addition, the PSRA appealed to parents to remain vigilant and cooperate with the authority. Parents have been requested to inform the PSRA of any violations of these directives by private schools so that timely and appropriate action can be taken against offending institutions.

Commitment to Student and Teacher Welfare

The authority reiterated its commitment to ensuring compliance with educational regulations and safeguarding the rights and well-being of students and teachers across the province.
