Mardan — Under the auspices of Jamiat Talaba Islam, a district-level Seerat-e-Rasool ﷺ quiz competition was held in Mardan, attracting large participation from students of public and private educational institutions as well as religious seminaries.
According to organisers, around 900 male and female students from across District Mardan took part in the competition, which aimed to promote awareness of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ among the younger generation. The quiz paper, prepared by ETA, comprised 100 multiple-choice questions. Officials said the examination process was conducted transparently, with teachers from various schools and colleges performing supervisory duties, while the overall environment remained orderly and peaceful.

As per the results, Sobia Gul, daughter of Taj Khan, secured first position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs50,000. Muhammad Shaheer, son of Zahir Muhammad, stood second and received Rs30,000, while Sarah Hanif, daughter of Hanifullah, secured third position and was awarded Rs15,000. In addition, shields were distributed among students who finished within the top twenty positions.
The event was attended by senior religious and political figures, including Senator Maulana Ata-ul-Haq Darvesh, Provincial General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Tahir Shah, Provincial President of Jamiat Talaba Islam KP; Hafiz Farmanullah Advocate, Provincial General Secretary; and Haji Noor-ul-Islam, Provincial Finance Secretary, who participated as special guests.
Other attendees included Ameer JUI District Mardan Maulana Amanat Shah Haqqani, Sheikh-ul-Quran wal-Hadith Maulana Ziaullah Jan Hashmi, Senior Vice President Maulana Aqil Ansari, Maulana Muhammad Ali Shah, and Qari Junaid Ahmed.
Speaking on the occasion, District Spokesperson of Jamiat Talaba Islam Masood Shah said such educational and intellectual activities would continue in the future. He also announced that a major educational convention is planned after Eid-ul-Fitr to further engage students in academic and religious learning.
Organisers described the competition as a successful step toward encouraging constructive educational engagement and strengthening moral and religious awareness among students in the district.
