Students in Upper Dir engage in peace and anti-extremism session through education

UPPER DIR: A one-day session on promoting peace and preventing violent extremism through education was held at Mind Spark English Language & Coaching Academy in Upper Dir, following directives from Deputy Commissioner Naveed Akbar.

The program, organized in collaboration with the District Administration, brought together more than 100 students who participated in speeches, tableaux, and dramas highlighting themes of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.

Additional Assistant Commissioner Salman Hustam attended as chief guest and underscored the importance of education in building a peaceful society. He urged students to act as ambassadors of peace and contribute positively to their communities.

The event also included a question-and-answer session, with participants expressing appreciation to the District Youth Office for supporting the initiative. Certificates and shields were distributed among students and guests.

Other dignitaries present included Zaryab Khan, Ruhil Abbas, Luqman Adil, Zoheb Jan, Mudsar Ahmad, Samira Khan, and Madina Ikram. Organizers said the session was part of ongoing efforts to engage youth in constructive activities and strengthen resilience against violent extremism.
